More than 40,000 passengers are expected to pass through Leeds Bradford Airport over this Bank Holiday weekend. A rush of late holiday bookings has seen the most popular destinations confirmed as Spain and Portugal. Rome, Prague, Krakow, Pisa, Paris and Amsterdam will also be popular.
Domestic flights have seen a pick up in demand as passengers seek to avoid road and rail delays this weekend. Tony Hallwood, the airport’s commercial director, said: ‘We are delighted to see so many passengers using the airport. We look forward to offering a relaxing start to the journey for all of our passengers.’
