Leeds Bradford Airport based airline Jet2 is launching a competition offering 20,000 free return flights. The airline will give away the flights to the first people to correctly name all 45 of its destinations when the competition starts at 12 noon on January 30.
Jet2 boss, Philip Meeson said: ‘We are bringing some sunshine cheer to the UK with free return flights to one of our spectacular European destinations. This is truly our biggest ever free competition and, with 20,000 free flights, it is worth more than £2 million.'
‘January can be a gloomy month but with this competition we are hoping to bring smiles to the faces of people across the UK. With an array of fantastic destinations to choose from, our winners could be sipping cocktails on a sun-drenched beach or taking in some culture on a fun-packed city break.'
The free return flights include all taxes and charges and can be to any of Jet2’s 45 destinations. The airline flies from 6 airports in the UK: Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle, Blackpool, Edinburgh and Belfast. Last year when the airline announced a similar competition over 100,000 people logged on within 20 minutes, so this year extra server capacity has been introduced to ensure everyone has the chance to win.
Jet2 has also announced that it will continue flights to 3 of its most popular destinations next winter. ‘Due to overwhelming customer demand’ flights to Tenerife, Lanzarote and Sharm el Sheikh will feature in the winter 2009/10 schedule and are on sale now. Flights to Tenerife and Lanzarote from Blackpool, Leeds Bradford and Manchester start from £68.99 one way including all taxes. Flights to Sharm el Sheikh from Leeds Bradford airport are from £67.99 one way.
