Jet2 increase winter baggage allowance

Leeds Bradford Airport based budget airline Jet2 has announced that it is increasing its hold baggage allowance for the winter season. It will increase its hold luggage allowance by 30% from 17 kg to 22 kg.
The extra hold baggage allowance will apply to all flights booked after October 20 and taken before March 31 2009. It will also apply to all flights after April 1, no matter when booked.
This increase will give Jet2 the highest baggage allowance in the budget airline sector the airline claims. Its luggage allowance of 22 kg compares with 20 kg offered by rivals such as Monarch, easyJet, Thomsonfly, Aer Lingus, Flybe and bmibaby, and the 15 kg offered by Ryanair.
