Fire crews rush to plane emergency
24.05.08
Firefighters from twelve fire stations rushed to Leeds Bradford Airport yesterday after reports of an aircraft fire. Smoke was coming from beneath a Jet2 Boeing 737 when fire crews arrived at 18:30.
Passengers were evacuated and a high-pressured fan was used to dispel the smoke and cool the landing gear, which appeared to be the source of the problem. No one was injured during the incident.
