Flight problems cost Jet2 £2.8m

Leeds Bradford Airport based Dart Group, the owner of budget airline Jet2, said by yesterday it lost £2.8m from the effects of the volcano flights disruption. However, it added that it had sufficient funds to withstand a considerable period of disruption.
The airline, which has 32 planes that should be flying to several of the affected countries, expected the daily profit impact to be £350,000 for each further day of disruption.
