19.09.11
Two Irish companies – pay-as-you-go internet kiosk and printer Surfbox and Wi-fi firm Bitbuzz – have won a contract to provide internet kiosks with printing and Wi-fi access to customers at Leeds Bradford Airport, beating off stiff competition from their UK counterparts.
Thomas Marry, managing director of Surfbox, said: ‘By bringing the expertise of our two companies together we were able to offer a complete solution – internet kiosks with printing and Wi-fi. We have extensive knowledge and experience in the public internet access market, and take pride in providing the most reliable internet access to our customers.'
No details of the cost of the service have been released, but at Heathrow Airport it costs £1 / €2 for 10 minutes internet access and £1 per sheet (subject to a £3 minimum) to print for a similar service.
