Jet2 launch Madeira flights

Jet2 launched weekly flights to Madeira from Leeds Bradford Airport yesterday. It is the first time that Yorkshire has been directly linked to the Portuguese island, a popular destination for holidaymakers. The flights will operate until the end of summer season schedule on October 31st, and returns next summer (an earlier start than this year - February 14, 2011) with flights already on sale.
Jet2's managing director Ian Doubtfire said: ‘With beautiful weather, stunning scenery and so much to see and do, we are confident that the island will really captivate the region's holidaymakers.' Tony Hallwood, Leeds Bradford Airport's commercial director, said the new route is ‘fantastic news’ for Yorkshire's holidaymakers.
