Jet2 announce free bag offer

Jet has announced a scheme to allow passengers to take bags onto its planes (in the hold) for free. The Leeds Bradford based budget airline will take a bag weighing up to 22kg for free, a saving of £9.99 one way or £19.98 return for the passenger, in a swipe at rival Ryanair, who are to launch flights from the airport and have recently increased their bag fees by 50%.
The Jet2 Free Bags scheme will apply to flights booked from Leeds Bradford Airport to Spain and Portugal next summer - between May and October 2010. When booking their flights, all passengers need to do is enter the ‘FREEBAG’ promotional code at the checkout stage of their booking.
