Leeds Bradford upgrades airport parking system
17.03.07
Leeds Bradford Airport has upgraded its airport parking system so that drivers can enter its car parks without vouchers. Using credit card recognition technology from car parking company Chauntry, the new service allows passengers who pre-book via the airport website to simply swipe their cards to enter and leave the car parks.
Cath Mason, Leeds Bradford Airport Finance & Commercial Director, said: 'The internet pre-booking facility is an important service for our passengers and we are extremely pleased that the new site has been successfully launched. This gives customers the benefit of voucher-less entry to the car park.'
The airport has been put up for sale by its five local councils owners, with an expected sale price of between £120 - £150m. Final bids for the airport were submitted last week by five groups, with the airport planning to evaluate them and select a preferred bidder early next month.
