Ryanair to slash Dublin flights
16.07.08
Ryanair is slashing the number of its flights between Dublin and Leeds Bradford Airport this winter. The number of flights will be cut from 19 to 13, a 31 percent reduction. It comes as the airline cuts passengers numbers out of Dublin Airport by around half a million.
Ryanair is reducing its routes because of what is says are rising costs at Dublin Airport at a time of surging oil prices. The cuts will see 18 Ryanair planes operating from the hub this winter compared with 22 last year.
Chief executive Michael O'Leary said: ‘This will be the first time for many years that Ryanair has reduced capacity at Dublin Airport.’
