Airport cuts air ambulance fees

Leeds Bradford Airport has discounted its landing fees for the for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance charity, potentially saving it £30,000 annually. The airport has been home to one of the charity's two helicopters since 2000.
Tony Hallwood, commercial director at the airport, said: ‘We are proud to support local charitable organisations and none more so than the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. We have built a strong working relationship with the charity over the years.’
Peter Sunderland, chairman of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, said: ‘We would like to extend our thanks to Leeds Bradford Airport for their support over the years.’
