Campaigners call of noise action plan feedback

Locals are being urged to participate in a consultation process over noise levels at Leeds Bradford Airport. Completed questionnaires for the airport’s noise action plan have to be returned by Tuesday, April 27. However, Aireborough Civic Society believes many local people are not aware that their views are wanted, the Telegraph & Argus reports.
Copies of the document and a questionnaire put forward by the airport are in local libraries and on the airport’s website, and the society is urging people to speak up. A spokesman stated: ‘It is the final opportunity to influence this plan that will control noise from aircraft for the following 5 years.‘
