Airport boss predicts growth from regional hubs

Regional airports will continue to experience rapid growth, according to a senior manager at Leeds Bradford Airport. Tony Hallwood, commercial and development director at the airport, said: ‘There is not a shadow of a doubt in my mind that regional airports in the UK are going to gain in increasing popularity.'
Mr Hallwood said regional airports will continue to introduce more flights to a greater range of destinations, providing larger hubs with greater competition, adding: ‘Over the last 3 or 4 years Leeds Bradford has been one of the fastest growing regional airports with growth of over 75 percent.’
