Leeds Bradford to extend airport parking

Tony Hallwood, the new commercial and aviation development director at Leeds Bradford Airport, revealed late last week that the first stage of the airport’s improvement programme is about to get underway, with a £3m project to enhance the area outside the terminal.
The work will see improvements to the drop-off and pick-up point, plus an increase in long-stay car parking spaces from 2,500 to 3,000. The project is part of a development programme aimed at putting the facilities in place for a planned increase in passenger numbers from nearly three million today to five million a year by 2013.
