A new press release from Leeds Bradford Airport based budget airline Jet2 says: 'Wouldn't it be great if you could skip to the front of the queue with priority check-in, glide through security in the Fast Track lane, enjoy a refreshing beverage in the VIP lounge preflight, then sit back and relax in front of cabin seating and be served at your seat with an in-flight meal of you choice?'
If this is year idea of a good flight, but you don't want to book a business class fare with a full service airline to get these benefits, then Jet2 has some good news for you. From today passengers travelling to Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote with the airline can enjoy all of these benefits by purchasing 'Jet2 Plus'
Passengers can book the new service online or at the airport on the day of travel. It costs £25 per passenger outbound or £45 per passenger both ways. Although this might seem quite expensive at first glance, particularly when compared to the cost of a flight, with airport lounge access costing around £18 and other budget airlines charging £3.50 to get to the front of the queue to get on the plane and a similar amount for a soggy sandwich, if you want some frills with your flight, it doesn't sound too bad.
